My blogs are complete, and i've submitted my final report for the project, so i don't have any new information to share. i think i'm just going to share what i think id do differently if i could have. I realized that my module doesn't have any type of assessment after the users have completed it. obviously assessing what the students have learned is important to the instructional process, so i would have to add some sort of assessment. i think i would use a survey as my assessment. i would use survey monkey to create this survey. i would have a link at the end of each of the blogs asking the user to take the survey to not only assess what they have learned, but to help me to improve the blogs as well.
Another think that i would like to change if i had the chance would be add video to the blog in addition to the written materials. i feel like this would help to appeal to more peoples learning styles. i know that i don't learn the best from simply reading information. While the images in the text helps with this problem, i think the addition of video would help even more.

Weekly Progress #3.1
I have decided to format my blog like so. It will be setup some what like a book. Each of the different skill objectives will be a single blog post (chapter) in the overall Project. i feel that this will be the most effective way to present the information, because it will make it easier for the blog readers to find the information that is most important to them more quickly. For example if a user only is interested in how to add or remove an application to the dock they can go directly to that chapter in the blog book rather than trying to look through the entire module for the single section they are looking for.
Weekly Progress #3
This week i have began adding content to my blog. i have edited all the screen shots that i took a few weeks ago so that they show or highlight the part of the area that i want them too. Once i have added all the content i will begin testing the blog on users. As i said in one of my earlier blog posts i will be testing the blog module on a inexperienced, slightly experienced and highly experienced mac user.

Weekly Progress #2
In this week of working on my Mac application management module, i have decided to expand who my sample audience is going to be. My inspiration behind creating this module is because my older sister recently made the switch from using a PC to a mac, and she is a little unsure about how to use it. i felt that this module would help her get a Better grasp some of the basics she would need to know. however i recently decided to test the module on not just only my sister who has a little experience with a mac but also someone who has no experience with a mac and someone who has a lot of experience using a mac. I am also working on getting all my content and graphics in order, making sure that everyhing is the way i want it.

Project Progress #1
This week i have put a lot of thought into the module i am crating. It was brought to my attention that the term " application management" needed to me defined a little further. Thusly i decided to define the instructional objectives for the project. The objectives for this learning module are "After completing tis module users will be able to 1. Properly open and close and application from the dock of their mac computer. 2. Add and remove apps to the dock. 3. Open an application that is not on the dock. and 4. download new applications to the computer. Other than defining these goals, i have began taking screen shots that i will use in the module, from my personal computer. i will still need to edit the photos a little more before they will be ready to be added to the blog.

Project topic
The topic I would like to use for this project is performing basic application management on a mac computer. The tool I will use for this assignment is blogger. I feel that this tool is a good choice because it allows it's users to add large amounts of text and graphics to create my learning module. I have already created a separate blog from this one to post my information of the url is: 516macappman.blogspot.com
Intro
The purpose of this blog is to serve as a way of keeping track of the week to week progress i have made on the final project for IDT 516.
